New Plants Every Week
Rare and Exotic Plants Worth the Drive to Richardson
Collectors come from Dallas, Plano, Frisco and beyond because our benches change every single week. If you have been hunting a plant you cannot find anywhere else, there is a good chance it is here, with a handwritten care tag on it.
Our Story
Richardson's Garden Center Since 1978
We opened our gates when Richardson still had farmland at its edges, and we have been growing with this community ever since. Today we are the second oldest business in the city. The chains have more locations. We have 47 years of knowing exactly what thrives in North Texas soil, a staff that will walk the benches with you, and the shop cats who run the place.
Kotara Kafe at the Garden Center
Kotara Kafe brings gourmet coffee and their small-batch banana bread to Plants & Planters, so you can walk the greenhouse with something warm in your hand. Beans are sourced from small farms in Rwanda, Yemen, Ethiopia and Nicaragua, and the banana bread is baked in a rotating lineup of flavors.
