Candy Cane Corner at Plants & Planters
Candy Cane Corner at Plants & Planters is a Christmas store at 1050 N Greenville Ave in Richardson, just south of Plano, open October 24 through January 1. It has 17 fully decorated themed Christmas trees, Mark Roberts collectibles, fresh Fraser fir trees from Thanksgiving week through December 22, and the wreaths, garland, ornaments and lighting to finish a house. Its first season earned it a 5.0 rating on Google.
Every fall the garden center changes over. The pottery comes out, the red carpet goes in, and the building becomes Candy Cane Corner until New Year’s Day. It’s the same family-owned store Richardson has known since 1978, dressed for the season.

What Happened to Holiday Warehouse in Plano?
Holiday Warehouse closed its Plano retail store in March 2025. The 30,000-square-foot store at 2819 W. 15th St. had been open since 2014. The company first announced a closing for February 2024, then kept the store open for one more Christmas season, and in January 2025 it told customers the store would close that March (Community Impact). Its website now offers holiday design and installation services. If you walked those aisles every November, we’d love to see you at Candy Cane Corner this year.
Straight Down US 75
How Far Is It from Plano?
Not far. Richardson is Plano’s next-door neighbor to the south, so it’s a straight run down US 75. The store sits at 1050 N Greenville Ave, with free parking at the door, so you can load a tree or a car full of garland without hauling it across a lot.
Start with the Trees
17 Themed Christmas Trees Under One Roof
Start with the trees. There are 17 of them, each decorated top to bottom in its own theme, which makes the store as much an idea book as a shop. Pick the one that looks like your living room, then shop the ornaments, ribbon and toppers to build your own. See the full Candy Cane Corner Christmas store for what’s on the floor this year.
The Collectible Wall
Mark Roberts Collectibles
Mark Roberts elves, fairies and Santas are the heart of our collectibles. Collectors know you can’t judge a piece from a thumbnail; the faces and costumes are the whole point, and they’re worth seeing on the shelf. Opening weekend gets first pick.
Thanksgiving Week to December 22
Fresh Fraser Fir Christmas Trees
Our real trees are all Fraser firs, from 5 to 12 feet. The trees arrive Thanksgiving week and are here through December 22. Measure your ceiling before you come.
